Flower Garden Ideas to Liven Up Your Yard

By
August 19, 2022 2 Min Read

Why put flowers in your typical oblong or circular flower garden? With Eden Brothers’ selection of flower seeds and bulbs, you can build a totally unique flower garden that will make your neighbors green with envy. Try one of these out-of-the-box flower garden ideas and watch your garden become the talk of the town.

The Flower Power
If you have an old automobile rotting in your driveway or garage, why not transform it into a stunning vintage flower garden? Replace the engine and other interior pieces beneath the hood with a container that will enable you to cultivate bright flowers that will stream out from the engine compartment. Do the same with the trunk, and strategically position pots on the seats and floors so the flowers spill out the windows and slip under the doors.

Cinder Block Beautification
Cinder bricks were not designed to be visually appealing. These rectangular gray rock-like constructions were intended to be utilitarian only. However, this does not preclude you from adorning them with flowers. The gray tone of the cinder blocks contrasts wonderfully with vividly colored flowers, and the blocks are already sectioned in two, making them great planters. When you arrange cinder blocks in a stair step pattern, you’ll have produced a modern-looking flower bed out of a relatively common material.

Recycling of Rubber Tires
You don’t have to throw away those old automobile tires. You may repurpose them into flower pots that will look stylish when a coat or two of brilliantly colored paint is applied to them. Place your painted tires strategically throughout your yard and fill them with dirt and a variety of wildflowers. The tire will function as a barrier to keep the soil in place, allowing your flowers to absorb as many nutrients as possible.

Buckets and Barrels on the Ground
Plant your flowers as if they were pouring from an upturned bucket, barrel, or other sort of container for a funny flower garden design. This design works well with both colorful flowers and a monochrome theme. Plant some in the bucket or barrel as well as haphazardly on the ground in front of the upturned container. This will give the appearance that they overflowed out of the bucket or barrel and transformed your yard into a colorful flower garden.

Conclusion
These are just a few ideas for making a unique and interesting flower garden that is not your typical design. There are plenty more inventive ways to display your lovely blossoms. Simply think beyond the box and have fun!
